255 Saudi women have announced joining the Hajj and Umrah management team

255 Saudi women recently graduated from the Armed Forces Training Institute (Saudi Gazette).

Hundreds have been announced to graduate into the Special Security Forces, specializing in diplomatic security and especially Hajj and Umrah security. This is not happening for the first time but it has happened in the past as well. Saudi Gazette reports, these are the 4th batch of women who acquired the skills to theoretically and practically handle information technology and applications for security operations.

The graduation ceremony was held under the chairmanship of Saudi Interior Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Saudi bin Naif. Director of Public Security Lt. Gen. Muhammad bin Abdullah Al-Basami is also included in the list of special guests to participate in this event.

In 2019, for the first time, the Saudi government allowed women to join several branches of the armed forces. Now gender discrimination is disappearing by providing equal opportunities in the military and defence sectors.

According to Vision 2030, which is the dream of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, women are to be empowered to perform Hajj and Umrah alone.

Here alone means to be “No Mahram“. A few years ago, we used to see only men guarding the gates of Masjid al-Haram or Masjid an-Nabawi and other holy places. But this scenario is changing with every passing month. Because now there is no need for women to be ashamed to ask anything during Hajj and Umrah because there will be trained women there for them.

Hopefully – After joining the management team of 255 Saudi women, holy activities will become easier for the upcoming lonely lady.
