The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah announced on July 13 that the new Umrah season to begin on July 30 for UK inhabitants. This time, Muharram (the first lunar month) may start on July 30. However, foreigners and locals wishing to perform Umrah can apply for a visa from Thursday, July 14.

According to the SPA (Saudi Press Agency), the new season of Umrah for Muslims living inside and outside Saudi Arabia is starting on July 30. Note: Umrah permits will be issued to all foreigners through the Tawakalna app.

According to the SPA, Umrah permits will be issued to locals or individuals residing within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through the “Eatmarna App”.

The Kingdom had in the past made strict rules to deal with the destruction of COVID-19. Therefore, some rules have been abolished, but there are still vaccinations approved by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah. And the extra boost job is included in these Covid-19 rules. Therefore, it is a necessary step for the traveller to present the vaccination certificate to join the new season of Umrah.

The ministry also said that health measures would be taken to further ensure the safety of visitors during the new Umrah season.

The Saudi government has also confirmed that the Hajj season 2022 has been successfully completed, as no accidents or coronavirus outbreaks have been reported among pilgrims.
