Your guide to Umrah from the UK
Double sharing — 2 adults per room — is the standard room type for couple Umrah packages and provides privacy that quad sharing (4 adults per room) does not. Hotels at every tier sit within walking distance of Masjid al-Haram in Makkah and close to Masjid an-Nabawi in Madinah. Couples choose from 3 tiers: 3-star economy hotels offer clean rooms at the lowest per-person rate, 4-star comfort properties provide upgraded facilities and closer proximity to the Haram, and 5-star premium hotels stand directly overlooking or adjacent to Masjid al-Haram.
Packages run across 7-night, 10-night and 14-night durations. A 7-night package suits couples with limited annual leave. A 10-night stay splits evenly between the 2 holy cities — 5 nights in Makkah and 5 in Madinah. A 14-night package gives couples extended time for repeated Umrah, Ziyarat tours and worship at both mosques. Contact Labbaik Hajj Umrah with your preferred tier, duration and travel dates for a current couple quote.
Every couple package covers 5 essentials: return flights from a UK airport, double sharing hotel accommodation in Makkah and Madinah, Saudi visa processing through the Nusuk Platform, private airport-to-hotel transfers and inter-city transport between the two cities. The Saudi government issues the Umrah visa free of charge — the fee UK pilgrims pay covers agency processing and the Nusuk service package. Both spouses receive individual visas as part of the same booking.
Flights depart from London Heathrow with direct services to Jeddah on Saudia and British Airways. Connecting routes through Istanbul, Doha or Dubai open departures from Manchester, Birmingham and other regional airports. Optional Ziyarat tours cover historical sites in both cities including Masjid Quba, Uhud and Jabal al-Nour. All packages are ATOL protected — the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) arranges a refund or continuation, if the provider ceases trading.
Couples without school-age children have the widest choice of travel windows. Off-peak months — September, October and November — carry lower per-person rates and fewer crowds at the Haram because UK schools remain in session. Shoulder season pricing and wider hotel availability give couples more competitive double sharing rates across all tiers. Weekday departures carry broader flight availability than weekend slots.
December and the Ramadan period carry peak-season pricing but offer the mildest weather (December 20–32°C) and the highest spiritual reward (Ramadan). Couples booking during peak windows benefit from early reservation — 8–12 weeks ahead secures preferred hotels and flights. Labbaik holds Air Travel Organiser’s Licence (ATOL) 74904 and International Air Transport Association (IATA) accreditation, and submits your Umrah visa application through the official Nusuk Platform on your behalf — your booking is financially protected and processed through the official Saudi system. Yes — married couples share a double room at every hotel tier in both Makkah and Madinah. Saudi hotel policy requires couples to present a marriage certificate or nikah document at check-in. Labbaik advises all couples to carry a certified copy of their marriage certificate. Double sharing rooms include a double or twin bed configuration depending on the hotel, and couples select their preferred setup at the time of booking.
Couple Umrah package prices depend on 4 factors: star level, duration, travel month and departure airport. 3-star economy packages carry the lowest per-person rate, 4-star comfort sits in the mid-range and 5-star premium commands the highest. Off-peak months — September, October and November — run below December and Ramadan peaks. A 7-night package costs less than 10-night or 14-night stays. Yes — Umrah is a meaningful way for couples to mark a honeymoon, wedding anniversary or milestone together. The journey combines worship at Masjid al-Haram and Masjid an-Nabawi with time in 2 historic cities. Couples perform tawaf and sa’i side by side, visit historical sites on Ziyarat tours and share prayers at both holy mosques. A 10-night or 14-night package gives newlyweds or anniversary couples extended time for worship, reflection and shared experiences in Makkah and Madinah.
Yes — each spouse requires an individual Umrah visa regardless of whether the booking is made as a couple. The Saudi government issues each Umrah visa free of charge through the Nusuk Platform. Labbaik processes both visas together as part of the same package booking. UK passport holders receive an e-visa without visiting the Saudi embassy. Each passport must have at least 6 months’ validity and 2 blank pages at the time of travel.
Double sharing — 2 adults per room — is the standard and recommended room type for couples because it provides full privacy. Quad sharing (4 adults per room) costs less per person but places the couple with 2 other adults in the same room. Couples who prioritise privacy and comfort choose double sharing at their preferred star level. Suite upgrades are available at 5-star hotels for couples who want a separate living area.
Yes — couples perform tawaf around the Kaaba and sa’i between Safa and Marwah side by side. There is no separation between men and women during tawaf on the main mataf floor or during sa’i in the Mas’a corridor. Both spouses enter ihram, make their individual niyyah (intention) and complete the 7 circuits of tawaf and 7 lengths of sa’i together. Couples book their Nusuk Platform tawaf slot for the same time to enter together.
Off-peak months — September, October and November — offer couples the best combination of competitive pricing, fewer crowds and comfortable weather. UK schools remain in session during these months, so the Haram sees fewer families and the mataf stays less congested. Couples without school-age children benefit from wider double sharing availability and lower per-person rates. December and Ramadan carry peak pricing but offer the mildest weather and highest spiritual significance.
